Newana “Bullet” Carlene Ferrall passed away on April 26, 2021 in Oklahoma City, OK. She was born on September 17, 1929 in Blanchard, OK to Carl Atherton Crowder and Nellie Myrtle (Madden) Crowder. Those that knew Newana would describe her as ornery, fun, and beautiful. She was vibrantly unique person, and dearly loved her grandchildren and family. The family eventually moved away from the farm in Blanchard to raise Newana in Oklahoma City. She initially attended Capitol Hill High school, and then later transferred to Central High School, where she obtained her diploma. After graduation, Newana started working for the City of Oklahoma City as a clerk, and then as an LPN with Dr. Paul Irwin the next 18 years.
Newana Married Jack Ferrall. They spent majority of their married life moving all around the country- Baton Rouge, LA, and Beaumont, TX, as Jack worked in the oil business. They settled in Columbia, MS before moving back to Oklahoma City. During her past time, Newana enjoyed various hobbies, such as quilting, tending her garden, going to church, and spending time with friends. She was very social, and was a member of the Women’s Firefighter’s Auxiliary, and a quilting group. Newana was also a proud member of the Choctaw Nation. Preceded in death by her sons, Carl Richard Ferrall and Jim Wietelman. Her children, Neshia Ronzello and Bill Wietelman, as well as numerous nieces and nephews survive Bullet. A visitation is scheduled for Friday, May 7, 20201 from 12:00pm-8:00pm at Advantage Funeral Service, 7720 S. Penn Ave, OKC, OK 73159. The family will be greeting friends from 12:00pm-8:00pm. The funeral service will take place on Saturday, May 8, 2021 at 2:00pm at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 1800 NW 36th St, OKC, OK 73118. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery, 13313 N. Kelley Ave, OKC, OK 73131.
