Born September 27, 1952 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Mike was the middle child born to Arthur and Tommy Lou Flynn.
Mike is preceded in death by his parents Arthur Flynn and Tommy Lou Flynn. He is survived by his wife Jo Flynn, son Chris Flynn, daughter Jessica Brown, grandchildren Daniel, Bailey, Deante and wife Sadie, Daylin, and Jaida, great-grandchildren Alexis, Sylis and Elsie, brother Steve Flynn and wife Christi, sister Peggy Rubenstein and husband Michael, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.
Mike graduated from NW Classen highschool and attended college at OSU.
On July 17, 1976, he married the love of his life, Jo Gibbs of Oklahoma City. They celebrated 47 years of marriage last July and have been there for each other through life’s many ups and downs. They have 2 children together, Chris and Jessica.
Mike worked in the Oil and Gas business as a Landman for T.S. Dudley Land Company for over 40 years. He enjoyed his career and traveled for work frequently. He had a passion for sailboating in his earlier years. He, Jo and son Chris would spend a lot of time at Lake Hefner along with family and friends. Mike played softball through his early 30’s and also coached his son Chris’s baseball team for years. He was part of a competitive dart league, where he and Jo spent many weekends together. His love for fishing and golfing was like no other. He took many fishing trips with son Chris and his grandsons which he really cherished. He was a jokester, and took pride in playing jokes on his parents, siblings, kids, grandkids and coworkers. He enjoyed spending quality time with his family and friends. He loved grilling and cooking and having gatherings at the house filled with loved ones. His favorite, by far, was being a Papa to his 5 grandchildren.
Mike was a hard worker and provider for his family. He was a giver and he loved with his whole heart. To know Mike was to love him and he is already missed more than words can describe.
