Margaret Ann Howard, daughter of Earl and Kate (Massey) Howard was born April 30, 1925 in Leedey, Oklahoma. She passed away, Friday, September 6, 2013 in Warr Acres, Oklahoma. Margaret was a graduate of Leedey High School and attended Southwestern State College in Weatherford, Oklahoma where she received her Bachelor’s Degree with a double major.
Margaret was a very talented and accomplished person, pursuing many different interests throughout her life in addition to her chosen career. She was one of the first female graduates of the GIA (Gemological Institute of America) in Los Angeles. She has been a gemologist and jewelry designer and even president of her own company, N-Ter-National Gems. Margaret has written numerous articles on gemstones and jewelry in the Lapidary Journal. She was also internationally known for her book, “Decorate Me Gorgeous”. She is survived by her one nephew, Buck. Margaret was a very helpful, kind and generous person. Simply stated, Margaret was GREAT!!
