Lowell Edward Beasley, 94, died in Shawnee, Oklahoma on June 19, 2018. He was born to Rebecca Gross Beasley and Oscar William Beasley on August 24, 1923 in Little Rock, Arkansas. He had one brother, Jack Beasley, who was 3 years older than he was. Lowell joined the Army in April of 1944. He served in the European theater of war and participated in the Normandy Landing at Omaha Beach. Medals earned during his service in the military were the Bronze Star and Purple Heart as well as WWII Victory Ribbon, The American Theater Ribbon, The European Theater Ribbon with 2 Service Stars, also Combat Infantry Badge.
Lowell traveled the United States doing what he loved, construction. He started out building homes and spent most of his years overseeing construction of restaurants such as Burger Kings, House of Pies, Red Lobster, Show Biz Pizza and many others. He loved to fish and work in his vegetable garden.
Survivors include his wife, Maria Beasley of Oklahoma City; his oldest daughter, Nancy Reynolds of Taylor, Michigan; son, Lowell Beasley, Jr., of Dallas, Texas; daughter and son-in-law, Becky and Randy Kellner of Meeker, Oklahoma; son, Scott Beasley of Plainfield, Illinois, step-children Judy Chesser, Rhayma DeMasters, Linda Cross, and Larry Kellner, many nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery on Monday, June 25th at 10 a.m. in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
