Laura Elizabeth Goodman

Laura Elizabeth Goodman passed away on Sunday, June 5, 2022. She was born January 5, 1965 to Joe Ray Grubb and Martha Coffman Grubb in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Laura was a cheerleader at Mayfield Middle School and graduated from Putnam City West High School in 1983. She attended one year at the University of Oklahoma. Laura worked for Clifton Scott, State Auditor as the receptionist from 1986 till 1993.

Laura got her love of gardening from her Mother and spent all of her free time planting and tending to her roses and hydrangeas. She was generous to a fault and was always concerned with the needs of others. She never met a stranger and had many, many friends. Laura loved to cook and entertain. She was frequently an amazing hostess for parties and dinners at her and Tom’s home in North Carolina. Laura’s sense of humor and laughter will be missed by all of us. Laura is survived by her mother, Martha Coffman Grubb, two sisters Robin Fields and Barrie Grubb, and one brother, Stewart Grubb. Laura is also survived by her partner of 15 years, Tom Bowles, and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to a Change to Change. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, June 24, 2022 at All Souls’ Episcopal Church in Oklahoma City with Inurnment to follow at 2:30 pm at IOOF Cemetery in Norman, OK.
