Larry Joe Green, 68, passed away on April 2nd, 2019 in Oklahoma City while surrounded by his wife and children. Larry was born on March 10th, 1951 in McAlester, OK to Carl and Bessie. Larry is preceded in death by his parents and brother Dean and sister Carlene.
He was a proud member of the Oklahoma National Guard as a young man and worked in the material handling business for 43 years making many great friends in the industry that he cherished. If you have ever had the pleasure of meeting Larry you would have been introduced to one of the kindest, warmest, and funniest men you’d ever known. He loved to go fishing and teach his kids and grandkids how to fish. Larry loved to be outdoors and spend time camping at the lake with his friends and family. He had a deep love for Colorado and always dreamed of living in the mountains. He also loved to tell a good joke and it’s one of the things that people remember most about him. Making people laugh brought him much joy!
Larry is survived by his wife of 40 years, Lynette, of Mustang, OK; daughter Heidi Green and her children Luke and Olivia of Tulsa, OK; daughter Abigayle English and her husband Jim and their children Devin, Ethan, & Lily; and son Casey Joe Green and his wife Shaniee and their sons Deacon & Bodhi of Mustang, OK. He also survives his beloved sister Mary and husband Jimmy of Douglas, GA. He was very proud and grateful to be a member of the “Cook” family tribe. Larry’s family is eternally grateful for the never ending love that he showed all of his family every day. He showed us what it meant to be family and to stick together no matter what. He was a truly good man, which is just the way he hoped he would be remembered. Private services.
