Karen was born in Brownwood, TX on October 13th, 1943 to Bill and Francis Wall. Karen spent her childhood living in many different places from Gallup, NM to Stockton, KS and many places in between. Karen graduated from Oklahoma State University in 1966 with a degree in education. After college Karen focused raising her 2 boys Rob and Dave. She was a ‘soccer mom’ before minivans! Transporting and supporting her sons in all their activities, she never missed a game. As the boys grew Karen began her teaching career in Anadarko OK. Not long into her career Karen pursued and obtained her Masters Degree from Southwestern Oklahoma State University in 1988. She later moved to Bethany where she closed out her 27 year teaching career in Mustang, OK. Although she taught predominately Algebra and Geometry her personal passion was history. Family vacations were spent exploring the history of America, never missing a stop at roadside historical marker and reading it to her boys. After retirement Karen enjoyed time with her friends, visiting her boys and volunteering at The Oklahoma Historical Society. Karen will be remembered for her big heart, unconditional love and we will always miss her story telling. She was preceded in death by her parents Bill and Francis Wall, sister Terry Wall. She is survived by her 2 sons Rob Orme and Dave Orme and 2 grandchildren Dylan Orme and Meghan Sullivan.
Flowers can be sent to Guardian Funeral Home West Chapel or a donation on her behalf to the Oklahoma Historical Society can be made.
