Jimmy Wayne Lemmon, age 76, was born Sept 30, 1946 to James Willis and Ozella Avileen Lemmon in Duncan, Okla, the second of six children, and passed from this life on May 23, 2023 in Okla City. God took this sweet loving Father, Brother, Uncle and Christian to be with him in Heaven. He will be greatly missed as the rock of our family. Jimmy was also a faithful member of Barnes Church of Christ.
He lived and attended schools in Duncan and Enid and graduated from Choctaw High School in May 1965. He enlisted in the Air Force and was assigned to Strategic Air Command in Oct 1965 and served in the Philippines, Thailand, Puerto Rico, and the USA as a jet engine mechanic and retired in Oct 1985 as TSgt and Crew Chief.
While in the Philippines, he met and married Erlinda Osia and this union brought with it two children. A son, Lauro (Ana Fe) Morante and their three children, Leah Ann (Lloyd) Allen, Makayla, Fayana, Landen and Candice. Lorraine Morante, Larry (Ruth) Morante, Tasi and Lorenz, all of Las Vegas. A daughter, Analie (James) Newman and their three children, Tyler Harbin, Jasmin and Isaac Newman, all of Norman.
He has two sisters, Jana Cokeley and her two sons, Jake Willis and Jared Cokeley, Judy (Lloyd) Smith and their three children, Mendy (Tom) Huff, Ethan, Samuel, Jonathan and Micah Huff, of Sand Springs, Marsha (Lance) Williams, Jacob and Nathan Williams of Tyler, Texas. Jason (Christina) Smith and daughter Jaelin of Harrah.
He had three brothers, Jeffery Lemmon, Jerry (Linda) Lemmon their two children, Jeri Levi (Nick) Gribnau and children Conlan, Chloe, Emma and Brynlee, Andrew (Karen) Lemmon and daughter Chelsea, and Joe Lemmon all of Choctaw.
Preceded in death by parents and brother Jeffery and will be laid to rest by them at Arlington Memorial Park Cemetery.
A visitation for Jimmy will be held Thursday, May 25, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home, 8805 NE 23rd Street, Oklahoma City, OK 73141. A funeral service will occur Friday, May 26, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home.
