Jean was born on April 30, 1933, in Orlando, Oklahoma to Max and Irene Norberg. Growing up she enjoyed music, school plays, and basketball. She was a soloist in choir, a majorette, and the band queen at Putnam City School, Class of 1951.
She retired at the age of 80 as an Executive Secretary from Monte R. Lee Engineering.
She was a member of Ridgecrest Methodist Church which eventually merged with May Ave. Methodist and became Cornerstone. She was active in the choir, a Jr. high Sunday school teacher, mobile meals, mission trips, and started The Love Bag program for the homeless. Her most memorable trip was to the Holy Land after retirement.
Jean loved people! Her greatest gift was mentoring the youth of the church and teaching them about the Lord.
Her many hobbies included bridge clubs, reading, and knitting where she was known for her baby blankets.
Jean was preceded in death by her parents; granddaughter; Kristen Case, great grandson; Carson Dimsdale, and sister; Dolores Roberts.
She is survived by her daughters; Shari Baker, husband Dick, and Terri Caton, son; William (Bill) Case, wife Mary, grandchildren, Kori Dimsdale, (Will), Conrad Max Caton, and Tara Moore, (Justin). Great Grandchildren, Colton, Mikala, Ezra, Tatum, and brother; Rod Norberg, wife Helen; and numerous nieces, family, and friends.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 10, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at Cornerstone Methodist Church, 2604, N. May Ave., Oklahoma City, OK 73107. Inurnment to follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, 8701 N.W. Expressway, Oklahoma City, OK 73162.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations to be made to Cornerstone Methodist Church in memory of Jean Case and/or St. Jude's in memory of Carson Dimsdale.
