Janice Elaine Mullenix Richardson

She was born in Oklahoma City on September 7, 1948 to parents Pat and Natalie Pouder and would go on to graduate from South East High School in 1966. Following this, she met Dave Richardson, and the two were married on June 11, 1969.

Janice worked as an Office Administrator for Sonic Industries for many years. She was also an active attendee of Ames Baptist Church. Janice had a passion for all things gardening, she loved propagating new plants and flowers. If she saw a beautiful flower, while out running errands, she would beg her daughter to stop and let her get a cutting from it. She also greatly loved bird watching, knitting, reading, and spending time with her grandkids.

Janice is preceded in death by her mother, Natalie Pouder.

She is survived by her father, Pat Pouder; Former husband, Dave Richardson; Children, Amy Burch and husband Bill, Aaron Richardson and wife Brittney; Grandchildren—Brandon Richardson, Ashley Richardson, Madalyn Crowell, Brooklyn Crowell and Annaleigh Burch; Siblings, Jody Lesch and husband Hank, Jacqui Countess, Mitch Pouder and wife Carol, and many wonderful cousins, nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service will be held for Janice at 10:00 am, Friday, April 12, 2024 at Memorial Park’s Historic Cemetery Chapel with burial to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
