James T. Miller, 71 of Choctaw, passed away October 27, 2013. He was born September 25, 1942 in Oklahoma City. His parents were (Al) Eldwood Myran and Marjorie Sue (Ousley) Miller. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1961-1983, where he retired also serving in the Vietnam War. He was a member of the American Legion, V.F.W. and N.R. A. He taught Aeronautics and Technology at Spartans College and was an inspector for Kerr-McGee and an engineer for Los Alamos Labs in New Mexico. He loved fishing and if the fish weren’t biting, he loved to watch sports, especially baseball and football, politics, reading, and mowing the grass. He was preceded in death by his wife, Louise Kay and brother, Max Blalock. Survivors include: one son, Christopher Miller of Ft. Collins, Co; two daughters: Lisa Foreman and husband, Michael of Livermore, CO and Laurie Miller of Los Angeles, CA. Also, eight grandchildren: including his dear Grandson and Friend, Will; eight great-grandchildren; one brother, Glen Miller of Gore, OK; two sisters: Lynda Miller of Midwest City, OK and Kathy Terrell of Oregon; and many other nieces, and nephews, including Patrick Whittaker. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, November 2, 2013 at Bill Eisenhour Northeast Funeral Home.
