He was married to the late Ruth on December 16, 1951. James had a self-employed career in car sales and auctioneering.
James was a member of American Legion, and had a passion for family and church.
He was survived by daughters Debbie Lee and Cheryl Eggleston, 7 grandchildren Betsy, Sara, Matthew, Adam, Shannon, Christy, and Rachel, great grandchildren Merik, Sam, Cooper, Rett, Porter, Beckham, and his siblings Kenneth, Pat, Patricia, Danny.
He was also survived by his special friend Pauline Hawthorne, extended friends, family, and church family.
James was preceded in death by Cathy Eakins, Gina Gattenby, sister Ruth, and brother Wendell.
A visitation for James will be held Monday, March 21, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Memorial Park Funeral Home, 13313 North Kelley, Oklahoma City, OK 73131. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, March 22, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Memorial Park Historic Cemetery Chapel, 13400 N North Kelley Ave, Oklahoma City, OK 73131 with a burial to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
