Mr. Alston was born April 5, 1933, in Stamford, TX, to Ahmed and Emma Alston. He attended Paint Creek in Leuders, Texas and graduated in 1951. He furthered his education at The University of Houston and McCurry University in Texas. He married his wife Eleanor Duncan June 25, 1955, in Michigan. Jack was a man of many talents but telling stories was his best. He loved sharing the stories as much as everyone enjoyed hearing them.
Mr. Alston served in the United States Army, during the Korean War working in intelligence. While serving he received the National Defense Service and Good Conduct Medals for outstanding service at Fort Banks, Massachusetts and during the war. Mr. Alston lived in many areas to include Winthrop, Massachusetts; Abilene, Texas; Woodward, Oklahoma; and Roswell, New Mexico. In 1970, Mr. Alston came to Choctaw, Oklahoma with his wife, Eleanor and family. Jack worked many years owning his own small businesses, working in sales, and management.
Mr. Alston spent 51 years in Choctaw. Jack and Eleanor bought their home in Choctaw, Oklahoma and enjoyed many wonderful years there together. Jack is preceded in death by his parents Ahmed and Emma Alston; sisters, Mary, Rose, Lorene, and LaVerne; brothers, George, Edward, Chester, and Lindberg. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Eleanor; children, Michael Alston and wife Elaine, Penny Alston, and Susan Denwalt. Grandchildren to include Jennifer Nichols, Matthew Alston, Tara Ramirez, Ivana Denwalt, Ethan Denwalt, Katherine von Dille, Aleks Alston, and Viktor von Dille. Great-Grandchildren to include Krystopher Alston, Conner Alston, Skylynn Alston, Bryley Godwin, Jacobi Ramirez, Janoah Ramirez, Cyanne Montgomery, and Willow Nichols. Nephew & niece include Dennis Alston and Donna Schuthardt.
