On Monday, November 28, 2022 Jack Allen Johnson passed away at the age of sixty-two in Oklahoma City, OK. Jack was the son of Otis Ray and Margie “Marie” (Clemmer) Johnson born on November 11, 1960 in Oklahoma City, OK. He spent most of his life in the Southside of Oklahoma City where he became the Jack of all trades.
Jack worked odd jobs mostly in construction where he learned to frame houses, lay carpet, hang sheetrock, shingle roofs and paint. In one of his odd jobs, he had the honor to paint the green stripe on the top of the Spaghetti Warehouse building in Bricktown. In the 90s he worked at The Rib Stand in the stockyards where he learned how to smoke some great meat.
Jack loved to spend his pastime with some beer and watching football or jamming out to some rock and roll music. He also loved to write short stories and poems. He was a bit of a wordsmith and loved to carry around a thesaurus.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Otis and Marie Johnson, and nephew Eric Collins.
He is survived by his daughter Stephanie Freeman; siblings Louise Johnson and Denise Collins; nephews Jeff Johnson and wife Rebecca and Jessie Burns, III; and nieces Jennifer Wilson and Lisa Johnson; other relatives and friends.
A visitation for Jack will be held Sunday, December 4, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home, 8805 NE 23rd Street, Oklahoma City, OK 73141. A graveside service will occur Monday, December 5, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Arlington Memory Gardens, 3400 North Midwest Blvd, Oklahoma City, OK 73141.
