J. Herman Roark, 87 year-old resident of Midwest City, OK, passed away July 2, 2013 in Oklahoma City, OK. Born Nov. 5, 1925 in Allen, OK, he was the son of James Houston Roark and Gladys Virginia Triplett Roark. Herman was an Army veteran of WWII and a longtime member of Meadowood Baptist Church. He was in the Oil and Gas industry and worked until his health wouldn’t permit his working. Herman was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Jerry Roark; his son, Davey Roark; and 1 brother, Gale Roark. Survivors include one daughter, Cathy Roark of Oklahoma City, OK; 1 brother, Bruce and his wife Linda Roark of Allen, OK; 2 sisters, Jimmie Nell Chiles of Ada, OK; and Ruth Huckeby of Ada, OK: 1 sister-in-law, Annabelle Roark of Pawhuska, OK; and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, July 5, 2013 at Bill Eisenhour Northeast Chapel, 8805 NE 23rd St., Oklahoma City, OK with Bob Rutherford officiating. Burial will follow Military Honors at Arlington Memory Gardens in Midwest City, OK. Cathy would like to extend special thanks to the staff at Wellington Parke and Heartland Hospice for the special care they provided for her Daddy.
