Howell I. Brown, 83, of Oklahoma City, died June 21, 2014 surrounded by family. He was born in Rapides Parish, Louisiana, the son of the late Clarence and Hazel Brown. He was the oldest of 4 siblings. On November 27, 1958, he married Virginia Doran in Lawton, Oklahoma, who survives. He completed high school and attended Cameron University. He served in the U.S. Army in the 1950s, graduating from OCS. He is survived by his wife, Virginia, of the home; daughter and son-in-law, Pam and Richard Dilbeck of Charlestown, IN; brothers, Owen and Aubrey Brown, of Louisiana; and sister, Norma Simpkins, of Louisiana. Services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 8701 NW Expressway, Oklahoma City, OK. Burial to follow at Chapel Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 24, 2014 from noon until 8 p.m. Family will be present to receive guests from 6 to 8 p.m.
