Glenda was born on July 22, 1939 in McLoud, Oklahoma to William O. & Della Jo Jones. She was their youngest of four & was the last surviving of her sister Nellita, and brothers, Jack & Billy Jones. She was born and raised on the family farm in McLoud, Oklahoma. She graduated from Shawnee High School in 1958. She married Delaun Leroy Moore in 1959. They both resided in Midwest City, Oklahoma. Glenda's husband Delaun served in the United States military at the Tinker Air Force Base and traveled to Japan, Turkey, and many other places during his enlistment. They were also members of the Eastside Church of Christ in Midwest City, Oklahoma.
Glenda was a soft spoken and gentle soul. As a child, she loved growing up on the farm and playing in the fields with the wind blowing in her hair as well as watching the butterflies. She loved to draw and paint. Glenda also loved fashion and loved buying new clothes and jewelry and having her picture taken to capture the joy that "dressing up" brought her.
Although Glenda and Delaun had no children of their own, they had many nieces and nephews as well as great-nieces and nephews. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Josiane Jones; niece, Josette Padgham & husband Craig and their son, Cole Padgham; nephew, David Jones & wife Katie and their son, Connor Jones and daughter, Katelynd & Kendall Jones all of Windermere, Florida; niece, Jan Jones-McAlister; great-nieces, Nikki Amelotte and Janna Montgomery; and great-nephew, Ben McAlister of Shawnee.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Delaun Moore; parents, William O. & Della Jo Jones; and siblings, Nellita Day, Jack Jones, and Billy Jones; sister-in-law, Norma Jones; and nephew Jerry Jones.
Memorial donations made be made in Glenda's name to the Eastside Church of Christ in Midwest City, OK.
