Gene Arthur Fast

Gene Arthur Fast passed away on July 19, 2024 at age 77. He lived all his life in the Britton area. One of his fondest childhood memories is of attending the one room Chisholm Creek School North of Britton. Gene liked cowboy hats, western wear and country music. He liked classic cars and old pickups and Johnnies hamburgers. He liked sitting in his garage visiting with friends and family. Gene was a hardworking, kind and good man who took pleasure in helping others. He retired from Milpark Drilling in 1986. He was a proud member of the Cherokee Indian Tribe. He is survived by sons, Nick Fast, Travis Fast, Shannon Fast, Josh Fast and their families. Sister, Bertha Shearer and husband H.C; his loyal friend Gary Cagle, and good friend Peggy. He was preceded in death by his wife Marilyn in 2013, his daughter Jeanna, his parents Opal and Arthur Fast, uncle August Fast, Grandmother Cintha Fast and sister Marylyn.

A memorial service will be held 10:00 am Friday, July 26, 2024 at the Memorial Park Historic Chapel (13400 N. Kelley Ave) with burial to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
