Edward F. Morris, 90, passed away on June 2, 2010 in Oklahoma City. Edward was born in Konawa, Oklahoma to Walter and Allie Morris on June 20, 1919. On December 28, 1946 he married Hazel R. McLean, he and Hazel were married for 62 years, only to be separated by the passing of Hazel in September of 2008. Edward was a World War II veteran who survived the sinking of the U.S.S. Porter in June of 1945. He worked for Robberson Steel Company for 50 years until his retirement. Also during Edward’s life he was a 32nd degree Mason. He is preceded in death by his wife, Hazel, his parents, and also a sister Maurine Irby. He is survived by his children, Tommy and Hazel Neugebauer, Mary Weed, Edward Jr. and Janet Morris, Pamela Smith, and Lisa and Kenneth Smith. Grandchildren; Phyllis Boyd, Robert Plumlee, Tina Campbell, Laura Cosper, Jamie Shrier, Tommy Morris, John Morris, Joshua Morris, Ronald Poulter, Nikki Smith, Allie Smith, Alisha Knight, and Brandy Stotts. He is also survived by 22 Great Grandchildren; Amy, Allyssa, Bill Jr., Matthew, Macy, Hyatt, Oriah, Katie, Haley, Molly, Zach, Brooklyn, Ethan, Andrew, Sydney, Talia, Jacob, Andrew, Raven, Paige, Tristan, and Tyler. Also surviving him are two great -great Grandchildren, Reagan and Reese. Services for Edward will be held 2:00 p.m., Saturday, June 5, 2010 at Hahn-Cook/Street & Draper Funeral Home Chapel 6600 Broadway Extension, Oklahoma City, with burial to follow at Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held Friday, June 4, 2010 from 12:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m. at Hahn-Cook/Street & Draper.
