Darla Clephane Rowton passed away this Wednesday at the age of 86yrs. She was born June 15, 1924 in Jenks, OK to Turner and Julia Brooks. During her lifetime she married, served overseas as a civil servant during WWII, got married, had children, and worked as a hairdresser, as a bookkeeper, and as a demo lady at Sam's Club. She is a survivor of the Murrah Federal Building bombing that occurred in 1995. She enjoyed sewing, listening to Big Band and Polka music, watching TV, and loving her pet Chihuahua. Surviving her are 1 brother, Donald of Texas, 1 sister, Treva of Texas, and grandchildren Sarah and Sandy of Midwest City. Preceding her in death were her husband, 1 daughter, and several siblings. A service was held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, August 28, 2010 at Bill Eisenhour Northeast Chapel with interment at Arlington Memory Gardens.
