Charles Herman Faison, 85, of Yukon, Oklahoma passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 3, 2022. Chuck was born September 14, 1937 to Charles Burgess Faison and Angeline Mae (Piley) Faison in Oklahoma City.
He graduated in 1955 from Putnam City High School. He attended Oklahoma City University and Central State University before entering the US Air Force. He married the love of his life, Frances “Merle” (Sellers) on April 30, 1960 and they enjoyed 62 years together.
Chuck started his professional career with printing presses at Addressograph Multigraph International. Working many roles as an independent contractor, machine operator, technician, and mechanic, Chuck ended his career feeling like a family member with Printing Equipment Inc.
Chuck was a man of God and a true family man. Throughout life, Chuck enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, traveling, listening to gospel and old country music, watching football and westerns. He was also avid with his Bible studies, a missionary church supporter, attended mission trips, and an usher in church. He loved food and candy of all types.
He was selfless and had a heart for helping others. Many people, churches, and organizations were impacted by Chuck’s generosity of giving whether by sharing his wisdom, extending a helping hand, donations, or giving any way he could. Chuck was always smiling and optimistic. He would spread his happiness by teasing people, getting a little chuckle as he succeeded, watching smiles come across the face of those he touched. Watching his grandchildren always brought joy to him.
Chuck was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Burgess Faison and Angeline Faison.
Chuck is survived by his wife, Merle of Yukon; three sons, Ray Faison and wife, Luba of Yukon; Lester Faison and wife, Janice of Yukon; David Faison and Katie Kliewer of Fredericksburg,Texas; daughter, Angela Tindall and husband, Robert of Mustang; special family members, John and Bilinda Baker of Oklahoma City; sister Carol Findley and husband Joe of Yukon; twelve grandchildren and twenty-two great grandchildren.
Services for Chuck will be Friday, November 11, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 8701 NW Expressway, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 73162. Interment to follow funeral service at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
