Butch would then move Missouri for 27 years and spent the last 10 years in Oklahoma City. He would marry the love of his life, Barbara Butterfield on December 1, 1962. A perfect day for Butch would be spending a relaxing time on the patio, rocking in his chair, watching the birds he fed. He also loved to grill and loved taking care of his lawn. In the earlier days of his life he loved sailing and playing golf. Butch was a man who carried a high level of integrity and honesty. He would show a deep, caring love for his home, his family, and his God.
Butch was the ultimate family handyman. He would tackle any job. He had a tool for any fix, and if he didn't have it he would buy one. He endured a lot of teasing and jokes which he joined in on for the 100 screwdrivers he had in his tool box.
Butch is preceded in death by his parents, Gerald and Ruth Butterfield; His siblings Betty Svoboda and Keith Butterfield. Butch is survived by his wife, Barbara; his children Michael Butterfield of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Jeffery Butterfield, and spouse Vicki of Fishers, Indiana, his sister Virginia Carkhuff of McLennan, Texas, his four Grandchildren and three Great Grandchildren, and his loving animals Otis, Cooper, Bella, and Maddie.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
