She was a dedicated wife, mother, and homemaker. Betty and Glen loved RVing whether it was to Colorado, Texas, or just across town. Betty was active at St. James the Greater Catholic Church in Oklahoma City much of her life. Most recently she attended St. Monica Catholic Church in Edmond, OK where she donated time and baked goodies for the staff. Everyone that knew her, would say “she was the sweetest person”.
Betty was the widow of Glen Fitzgerald who preceded her in death in 2005. They married in 1948 and spent 57 years together. Betty is survived by her children, son Phillip and wife Lori Fitzgerald of Oklahoma City, OK, son Kevin and wife Kit Fitzgerald of Littleton, Colorado, son Pat and wife Karon Fitzgerald of Edmond, OK, and daughter Karen Fitzgerald of Oklahoma City, OK. She is survived also by her grandchildren, Brandon Fitzgerald, Blake (Merrick) Fitzgerald, Hallie (Jon) Hill, Adam Fitzgerald, Kyle Fitzgerald, Chad (Melissa) Fitzgerald, Kaitlyn (Mark) Spilman, Stephanie (Wade) Schalk, Claire (Blake) McCracken, Drew (Nicki) Marquis, Lindsay Marquis, Marly Fitzgerald, and Alison Fitzgerald and by her 15 great grandchildren.
Betty was also preceded in death by infant son Bobby Glen, and by brothers Larry Rochelle and Richard Eller.

A Catholic funeral mass will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday May 2, 2023 at St. Monica’s Catholic Church at 2001 N Western Ave., Edmond, OK 73012. Interment to follow at Resthaven Cemetery in Oklahoma City.
Her family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Catholic Charities, 1232 N. Classen Blvd., Oklahoma City, OK 73106.
