Beatrice Estelle Weingartner passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus on December 03, 2024, but not before she proudly voted for Donald J. Trump. Beatrice was 95 when she finally received her crown she so richly deserved. Beatrice, also known as Bea,Toodie, Mom and Mimmie, was born on July 7, 1929, to Raymond and Edith Finney of Okmulgee, OK. Bea had ten siblings and lived all over Oklahoma and Texas.
Growing up,Bea received the nickname Toodie from her brothers and sisters, and you can only imagine why she received this nickname. Toodie was a jokester and always had the room laughing. Her sense of humor was unmatched and medicine to her soul, as well as the people around her. As a child she battled Brights Disease, was bitten by a rabid dog, and had chronic appendicitis and into adulthood she nearly lost her life after childbirth. Bea was a fighter and overcomer who always found humor in life around her. Bea’s sense of humor was certainly her superpower. If Bea had your attention for even moments, she was delivering her latest joke or pulling one on you. In her later years she loved playing dead, taking years off her daughter’s life. Bea also used her blindness as a strength in playing jokes on both herself and others. She once brushed her teeth with Preparation H and glued those same teeth in with Desitin. She surprised her granddaughter while driving one day with “why did you run that red light?”. Her granddaughter simply replied, “I thought you couldn’t see Mimmie!!”
At the age of 18 Bea married the love of her life, William Henry Weingartner and they remained soul mates until she took her last breath. Bea and Bill were married for almost 57 years before Bill’s passing in 2004. They had 5 children, William (Bill) Weingartner, Davis (Davey) Weingartner, Linda Maddox, Pamela Matherly and Darren Weingartner.
Bill and Bea lived a modest but very happy life raising their kids, working and having fun at all costs. Bea’s sons and daughters hold dear memories of all the laughter that filled the walls of their home. Bea was fiercely dedicated and endlessly supported her husband Bill and all his endeavors. She selflessly took care of the home, their kids, neighbors’ children, as well as nieces and nephews. She was an amazing cook and homemaker. After the kids were grown, she loved her job at Tinker Air Force Base in airplane maintenance. Bea became Mimmie in 1973 when her first granddaughter was born. Mimmie loved and adored all 15 of her grandchildren and became a great Mimmie to 46 great grandchildren. Mimmie, as she was so endearingly called by many, unapologetically spoiled and spent her time with all her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mimmie loved sharing her love of games and toys with anyone who walked in her door. For hours and hours, she would play games with her guests, and somehow, she always won. Some may say she cheated but Mimmie had a true knack for games and winning them.
Bea’s departure leaves a lasting void in the lives of all who loved and adored her but the memories she left behind are invaluable. Whether you knew her as Bea, Toodie, Mom or Mimmie, there was a special bond created that lives in all our hearts today.
Beatrice was preceded in death by her husband William Weingartner, her mom Edith Qualls, her dad Raymond Finney, brothers Darren, Charles, and Jack Finney, her sisters Maxine, Betty, Pricilla, and Mary and her daughter Linda Maddox.
She is survived by her children, Bill Weingartner Jr., Davis Weingartner, Pamela Matherly, and Darren Weingartner, her sisters Barbara and Rosa Lee (Linda), her brother, Joe Wayne Qualls, her beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren and many other loved ones!!
