Albert E. (Eck) Snow was born November 16, 1922 at Jester Oklahoma, the son of James E. (Sim) and Annie (Zora) Snow who were tenant farmers in Greer County Oklahoma. Albert graduated from Plainview High School, Willow, Oklahoma. He passed away January 7th, 2016 at the Spanish Cove Retirement Village in Yukon. Albert entered the military service in 1943 and served through 1949. His overseas assignments were in Italy and Africa. Following his honorable discharge from the army, he enrolled at Blackwood Business College in Oklahoma City. At the completion of the business college work, he started to work for the U.S. Postal Service in Oklahoma City. He married Dr. Marie T. Lane on November 23, 1962 and they resided in Oklahoma City until Albert retired from the postal service in 1978. After his retirement, he bought and operated a cattle ranch near Ada, Ok. Dr. Marie continued her medical practice in Ada. They retired and returned to the city in 1994. Albert and Marie were members and attended the Chapel Hill United Methodist Church in Oklahoma City. They both were involved in Church activities. Marie worked with the youth of the church and Albert was involved with the choir and other activities. Albert enjoyed the old time gospel music. He moved to the Spanish Cove in Yukon in 2007. After moving to the Spanish Cove, he attended St. Mark’s Methodist Church in Bethany. Albert was preceded in death by his wife, Dr. Marie, his parents, Sim and Zora Snow, brothers Chester, Lester, and Gene and an infant brother. He is survived by sisters, Dortha Taylor of Houston, Texas, Creta Faye Jones of Oklahoma City and brother Bailey of Yukon. He is also survived by sisters-in-law Dorothy Snow of Oklahoma City and Omega Snow of the Spanish Cove. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and a host of friends. In 2007, Albert moved to the Spanish Cove and has continued to reside there until he went to be with the Lord.
