Aileen Smith

On January seventeenth in the year of our Lord 2024 Jesus took hold of Aileen’s hand and drew her to himself. He seated her at the piano where the heavenly choir was rehearsing and singing The Hallelujah Chorus, Praise his name!!!.

Aileen was a teacher, educator and counselor obtaining her bachelor’s degree at 40 and her master’s degree at 50. Her ministry in teaching Sunday school classes to children and adults has touched countless lives over the years. Aileen also taught bible and other classes at a private Christian school for three years, her ministry was reflective of her committed life to Christ.

Aileen married Gary Gordon Smith, the only man she ever loved on June 30th, 1965, and they enjoyed a glorious life together for 48 years until he went to be with the Lord.

Aileen’s family: Parents, William Oscar Mayfield and Della Elizabeth Mayfield, both deceased. Siblings, Seaynoah Mayfield (Helen); Kathryn Tapley, deceased (James); Glen Mayfield, deceased. Sue Mayfield, Daughter, Janice Christina Kain. Chosen daughters, Roxanne Carter, Genese Gunter and Chau Viering. Grandchildren, Stephen Blake Allen and Audrey Ann Allen. Extra Grandchildren, Johnathon Viering and Christopher Viering. Great Grandson, Jadon Allen.

How Aileen would like to be remembered is that she loved God with all her heart and wanted to please him most of all.
