Born December 27, 1918 to Med and Mary Cashion in Eudora, AR., the third of six children. The family moved to Oklahoma City where he attended Classen H.S., O.M.A., the Naval Academy and OU, where he met and married Pauline Stewart.
Soon afterwards he joined the USAF where he performed duties as a pilot. After the war he returned to OKC and formed a long term partnership with his older brother Med Cashion Jr. as home builders and real estate developers.
He and Polly had two children, Charles born in 1942 and Mary Jane, born in 1944. Later in life he had a second Marriage to Edith Sullivan.
Lamar had a large and close group of friends with whom he loved to fish, hunt and play golf. He also loved exploring the country in a series of motor-coaches.
He was predeceased by his wife Edith, daughter, 2 sisters and a brother. Survivors include his son Charles and his wife Karen, grandsons Charles Jr (Sandra) and Chris (Tana) and 2 great grandsons.
The family would especially like to thank Dad’s friend and neighbor Diane, who was never-failing in her love and care for him in his later years. Deep thanks go also to the staff at Heaven House assisted living facility.
Memorial services will be held 2:00pm, Saturday, May 21st, 2016 at Memorial Park Historic Cemetery Chapel in OKC.
