Born on November 18, 1955, in Ogdensburg to Edward and Olive "Marie" (Flood) Hyde, Shirley attended Lisbon High School, and was later married to Richard Montroy. Although the couple separated, they remained friends.
Shirley was a beloved and hard-working individual who worked at the snack shop in K-Mart, Dairy Queen, Mitel, and Newells manufacturing during her career.
She is survived by her son Tony Montroy of Ogdensburg; three grandchildren, Jaelyn Pike, Mason Montroy, and Maddison Montroy; two brothers, Donald Hyde of Ogdensburg and Gerald (Alberta) Hyde of Lisbon; and sisters Carol Whitmarsh of Courtland, Beverly Parmeter of Lisbon, Susan Lawton and her companion Ben Fifield of Lisbon, Dorothy (Neil) Conant of Potsdam, Debbie Stone of Pierrepont, and Amy (Tom) Steams of Massena. Shirley also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was predeceased by her parents, three brothers, Edward, John, and Wayne Hyde, and two sisters, Nancy Moorehouse and Cynthia Hyde.
As per Shirley's request, there will be no funeral services.
