Michael Clayton Trombly, age 55 of Woodbridge, VA and formerly of Ogdensburg passed away unexpectedly on Thursday (October 10, 2024) as a result of a massive heart attack. Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm on Monday October 21, 2024 at the Fox & Murray Funeral Home with Rev. Laurena Will officiating.
Surviving is his wife Kathy; a daughter Sarah Trombly & her fiancé Nick Kadlubowski of Woodbridge, VA; a step-daughter Melinda Bell of Ogdensburg; a grandson Brayden Bell of Woodbridge, VA; his father Clayton Trombly of Rensselaer Falls; two brothers Bryan Trombly of Ogdensburg and Lee Trombly & his wife Jenny of New Jersey; a sister Lori Hill & her husband Kenneth of Heuvelton; along with aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews & cousins.
He was predeceased by his mother Pamela in 2013.
Michael was born on November 8, 1968 in Ogdensburg, a son of Clayton & Pamela (Gushlaw) Trombly. He graduated from Ogdensburg Free Academy and received a Bachelors degree from Keuka College and continued his education at North Central University and received his Master’s Degree in Business Administration. A later return to college awarded him a second Master’s Degree from Central Michigan University in Human Resources Management. Michael was employed by the US Government for 33+ years in the Washington Navy Yard as an Administrative Officer. He married Kathy Kerr on October 4, 1996. The couple recently celebrated their 28th year anniversary
He enjoyed going on cruises several times a year, watching the latest movies, weekend get-a-ways to wineries and antique shops. He also enjoyed collecting bicentennial quarters, cooking for family gatherings, baking cakes, crocheting and all kind of arts and craft activities to express his creative talents.
