Melvin M. Green

Funeral services for Melvin M. Green, age 69 of Heuvelton will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday (Oct 24, 2023) at the Fox & Murray Funeral Home with Pastor Joe Weidler officiating. Burial will follow at the East Dekalb Cemetery.

Calling hours will be held on Monday (Oct 23, 2023) from 12:00pm to 2:00pm at the funeral home. Mr. Green passed away on October 16, 2023 at his home with his wife by his side.

Surviving are his wife Teresa; three daughters Rachel Durgan, Val Weston & Michelle Green all of Ogdensburg; grandchildren Zachary Fuller, Creedance Pebble and Jacob Love; great-grandson Stetcyn Love; and numerous nieces, nephews & cousins.

Melvin was predeceased by three brothers Milton, Ron & Vic Green; and two sisters Connie Green & Marion LaFirst.

He was born on August 17, 1954 in Ogdensburg, a son of the late Karl & Grace Burnham Green. He graduated from Morristown High School, and was later married to Teresa Durgan in June of 1999.

Melvin worked for Ogdensburg Public Works, Citizens Telephone Company, PA Barr’s Diesel Mechanics, hauled tractor trailers and owned and operated his own Hydraulics’ repair company. He retired in 2012.

He was a past member of Re-treads motor cycle club and enjoyed riding motorcycles, hunting, attending to his flower gardens, caring for his family and spending time with them.
