A graveside service for Leonard H. “Lenny” Berkowitz, age 75 of the Rensselaer Falls ICF will be held at 3:00pm on Thursday (May 4, 2017) at the Rensselaer Falls Cemetery with Pastor David Hart officiating. Lenny died (May 1, 2017) at the facility surrounded by his caregivers.
He was born on August 3, 1941 in Manhattan, a son of the late Sol & Pauline (Schaye) Berkowitz. At age 5, Lenny went to live at the Letchworth Development Center and after a period was transferred to the O.D. Heck Developmental Center, Pelon Road IRA, Tri-County Nursing Home and later to the Rensselaer Falls facility in 2011.
