Gerald D. Lytle

A Graveside Service for Gerald D. Lytle, age 69 of Heuvelton will be held at 11:00am on Thursday (November 16, 2023) at the Hillcrest Cemetery in Heuvelton with Ron Stiles officiating. Mr. Lytle passed away on Sunday (November 12, 2023) at Claxton Hepburn Medical Center with his daughters by his side.

Surviving are two daughters Stacey Lytle & her companion Eric Steller of Russell and Stephanie Lytle & her companion Mark Kelley of Heuvelton; grandchildren Alicia LaRose of Lisbon, Tyler Lytle of Heuvelton, and Lyle LaRose II & his wife Jocelyne of Heuvelton; a great-granddaughter Kinsley Measheaw of Lisbon; two brothers James (Sandy) Lytle of Heuvelton and Michael (Carol) Lytle of Heuvelton; and a sister Sandy (Timothy) Gooshaw of Massena; along with several nieces, nephews & cousins.

Gerald was born on June 30, 1954 in Ogdensburg, a son of the late James & Lillian (Rivet) Lytle. He graduated from Heuvelton Central School and began his career assisting his parents on the family farm. He then worked briefly in the mines in Gouverneur and later went to work for Trimm Trucking as a truck driver and mechanic.

He enjoyed farm work, helping others fix things, mechanic work, tinkering in his garage, and was an avid wrestling and NASCAR fan.
