Funeral services for Dakotah Ryan Douglas Mahnke, age 22 of Ogdensburg will be held at 6:00pm on Wednesday (Mar 28, 2018) at the Fox & Murray Funeral Home with Deacon David Demers officiating. Calling hours will be held also on Wednesday from 2:00 – 6:00pm at the funeral home. Dakotah passed away Friday (March 23, 2018) at his home surrounded by his loving and devoted family.
Surviving are his parents Paul & Sherri (Compo) Mahnke of Ogdensburg; two sisters Briana & Morghan Mahnke of Ogdensburg; paternal grandparents Terry & Debra Mahnke of Ogdensburg; great-grandmothers Hazel Friot of Ogdensburg and Maggie Walters of Yerington, NV; an unborn niece Brynlee Mahnke; uncles Leo & Robin Compo of Ogdensburg, John & Margie Compo of Rossie, Gerald Compo & his companion Linda of Massena, Lyle & Wendy Compo of Ogdensburg; Melvin Compo of Ogdensburg; aunts Cindy Mahnke & her husband Tim Ferguson of Ogdensburg and Craig & Tiffany Mahnke of Cape Coral, FL; along with many great aunts & uncles and great-great aunts & uncles.
He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents Leo & Clara Compo; paternal grandfather Doug Friot; paternal great grandfather Richard Mahnke and an infant uncle Patrick Compo.
Dakotah was born on March 4, 1996 in Ogdensburg NY, and graduated from Ogdensburg Free Academy in 2014. Dakotah was loved by everyone that knew him, and had great pleasure in being in the water, going for walks, being outside enjoying the sunshine, collecting turtles, the Dallas Cowboys, spending time with his family and being cared for by his caregivers.
