Bessie N. Seguin

Funeral services for Bessie N. Seguin, age 85 of Lisbon will be held at 10:00am on Tuesday (Sept 22, 2015) at the Fox & Murray Funeral Home with Larry Smith lay speaker officiating. Burial will follow the service at Martin Cemetery in Lisbon.

Calling hours will be held on Monday from 3:00-7:00pm at the funeral home. Mrs. Seguin passed away at Claxton Hepburn Medical Center on Friday evening surrounded by her loving family.

Surviving are her children Bonnie Roy of Ogdensburg, Edna (Tim) Guck of Florida and Cindy Carr of Lisbon; a sister Betty Seguin of Lisbon; seven grandchildren Christopher (Leslie) Law of TX, Jeremy Guck of FL, Heidi Guck of FL, Brad (Meghan) Carr of Lisbon, Shawn Seguin of Japan, Samantha Seguin of Lisbon and Chelsey Carr of Lisbon; 16 great-grandchildren along with nieces, nephews & cousins.

Her husband John Seguin; a son Larry Seguin; a granddaughter Brandy Moore and two great grandchildren Ethan Seguin and Kristopher Moore predeceased her.

Bessie was born on June 19, 1930 in Lisbon NY, a daughter of O. Wesley & Beulah (Simzer) Dennis. She graduated from Lisbon rural schools for her education, and later married John L. Seguin on March 3, 1950. He predeceased her on July 7, 1963.

Bessie worked as a housekeeper for many families in the area, and was a member of the 89ers Senior Citizens Group, American Legion Auxiliary, The Coffee Hour Group in Lisbon and was a Life Member of the Nevin Memorial Church. She enjoyed collecting cow memorabilia, animals and spending time with her family.
