Ashlee Dodd

Ashlee Dodd age 37, of Ogdensburg, NY passed away Monday, September 30, 2024 at Crouse Hospital in Syracuse, NY after a courageous battle with an incurable brain infection. Calling hours will be held , Tuesday, October 8, 2024, from 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM at Fox & Murray Funeral Home. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Fox & Murray Funeral Home.

Born October 5, 1986, in Ogdensburg, Ashlee was the beloved daughter to Darrell Mills and JoAnne Dodd. After completing a Certified Nursing Assistant program at BOCES, Ashlee went on to work for United Helpers. Additionally, she worked at Gran View for a period of time. Ashlee truly embraced the free spirit mindset; she had a beautiful and loving soul. She enjoyed hula hooping, playing in the sun and stargazing into the night sky.

Ms. Dodd is survived by her parents, JoAnne and Michael Duprey of Lisbon; her children, Ivie Rain Grape of Lisbon, Sheldon Storm Smithers of Ogdensburg, and Cairo Issac Duprey of Lisbon; her brothers, Darrell Dodd and Donald Duprey and his fiancé Bridget Rust of Lisbon; a sister, Chelsey Hitsman and her husband Josh of Lisbon; her aunts and uncles, JoAnn Douglas, Kelly Kinch, Mia Benjamin, Sandy Patterson, Tom Dodd, Don Dodd, Kathy LaRock, and Pat McNeil; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was predeceased by her father, Darrell “Pete” Mills in 2018; her paternal grandparents, Darrell and Joan Mills; her maternal grandparents, Bill and Jean Dodd; and aunts and uncles, Cindy Lipinsky, Jeffery Mills, Kayleen Edwards, and Jim Dodd.

Memorial contributions may be made in Ashlee’s name to the charity of one’s choice.
