He was in the United States Air Force for 4 years and in the United States Navy for 9 years. Walter enjoyed football, hunting and fishing, also playing with his grandchildren. He loved watching the Three Stooges and also playing Ispy with the grandchildren. He loved pranking people and joking around, making everyone laugh around him. He will be remembered by how loving, caring, and giving he was.
Walter is survived by his wife Teresa, Children: Daughter Donna & Husband Chris Powell, Son Walter Jr. & Anne Stevens, Daughter Tess Denton, Daughter Rachael & Husband Angel Lopez, Daughter Rosa & Husband John Weishaar. GrandChildren: Robert & Wife Hellen Powell, Brandie & Husband George Brown, Grant & Wife Jess Stevens, Andrews & Wife Alison Stevens, Hayden Stevens, Ashlee & Husband Charlie Marrero, Benji & Wife Laurie Denton, Jacob & Wife Vivica Weishaar, Nathan & Wife Jael Weishaar. Great Grandchildren: Caleb & Sarah Powell, Wesley, Hudson, Elliott, Palmer, Wallace Brown, Gracelyn, Gunnison, Georgeann, Griffin Stevens, Sterling Stevens, Gabriel & Aurelia Marrero, Eva, Laina, & Ivy Denton, Levi Weishaar.
Walter is preceded in death by his Mother Anna McKnight.
Viewing Thursday October 3, 2024 at Odessa Funeral Home 5-8pm. Funeral Services October 4, 2024 12-1pm following burial with military honors from 1:30-2:30pm at Sunset Memorial.
