Mary is survived by her husband Edward Chew of Oklahoma City, OK; brother Guillermo D. Glenn of El Paso, TX; Nephews William D. Glenn III, of San Antonio, TX; J. Lucio Glenn and Francisco A. Glenn, of El Paso; Niece Tania H. Glenn of Taos, NM; Great nephews and nieces Isaiah and Ava Glenn of El Paso, TX; and Rudi, Finn, and Sofia Boyle, of Taos, NM. She is preceded in death by brother Daniel K. Glenn, of Odessa, TX.
Mary was born on August 25, 1938, in Imperial, Texas, to William D. Glenn and Eulalia Glenn. She graduated from Buena Vista High School and attended college at Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio, TX. She later moved to Odessa, TX, to care for her mother. Mary started working at Texas Commerce Bank and retired from Chase Bank as a Loan Officer.
When she was not caring for her mother or working, Mary volunteered with many community organizations and was a devoted member of the Third Order of St. Francis and the Catholic Church. She was registered at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church.
Mary was a compassionate and kind person to everyone she met. She treated everyone with respect and devoted her free time to helping those in need. Some of her volunteer work included feeding the homeless, Rape Crisis Hotline, St. Vincent De Paul, AIDs counseling, and donating time to several public assistance agencies. She was a loving wife, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend, and she will be dearly missed.
A rosary is scheduled at 7:00 pm - Sunday, December 30, 2018, at Odessa Funeral Home at 1700 N Jackson Ave. Odessa, TX, with visitation from 2:00 pm - 9:00 pm. The funeral is scheduled for 1:00 pm - Monday, December 31, 2018, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church - 7601 N. Grandview Ave. Odessa, TX. Father Mark Woodruff will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Mary’s life.
