Lisa Kaye Allen

A Celebration of Life, Lisa Allen, all 6 lbs 12 ozs of her bounced into the lives of Roosevelt and Dorris Allen on December 19, 1964. She lived her entire life in Odessa except for a brief stain Dallas and a few other places. She received her education in ECISD schools, graduating from Permian High School with the Class of 1983. She continued her education at Odessa College and Columbia Business School. She had worked at Sitel Communications, Sonic Drive-In and Sam’s Club. Lisa passed away on Wednesday, April 27 2011 following a period of declining health and strength. Her earthly pilgrimage lasted 46 years 4 months 7 days. Lisa accepted Christ and was baptized at Bethel Baptist Church along with her “baby” Michael. She attended faithfully when she was able and always encouraged everybody to go to church. She was proud of her church family and was proud of the inspiration and pastoral guidance she received from Reverend Roy Gentry. She was preceded in death by her grandparents Myrtle and Austin Jones, grandfather Adam Smith and her brother Johnny Harold Pride. Lisa was very proud to be a grandmother to Elisa and Dominique. Many people had been the recipient of her generosity as she gave ride to people she saw who were walking. She is survived by her parents; Roosevelt Allen Sr. and Doris Smith Allen, her only sister; Donna Allen Hill ( Billy), hers ons Erik Rashad Allen ( Tasha of Tacoma, Washington; Terrell Marquise Johnson of Odessa, her only daughter; Aukeisha Renette Allen of Odessa, her granddaughter Elisa Allen and grandson Dominique Johnson of Tacoma; her big brother Emmett Maxwell of Niles, Ohio; Roosevelt Allen Jr.( Yolanda) Otis Allen, Russell Allen, Jimmy Allen of Odessa and Michael Allen(Maria) of Albuquerque, NM. Lisa had many nieces and nephews who called her Aunt Lisa or “Tia Lisa” She has several aunts, uncles, cousins, one grandmother Mrs. Annie O. Smith of Oakland, CA and the congregation of the Bethel Missionary Baptist Church. She is also survived by special friends; Michael Smith, Curtis Johnson and Todd Swoopes Visitation will begin on Monday and a family gathering will be held on Tuesday from 7 pm until 9 pm at Odessa Funeral Home. Funeral services are set for 2 pm on Wednesday May 4, 2011 at Bethlehem Baptist Church with the Reverend Roy Gentry officiating. Burial will follow at Ector County Cemetery(Los Angeles) Section. Serving as pallbearers will be J.J Simpson, Willie Jones, Willie Ellis, Keith Bledsoe, Billy Ray Hill Jr. ,Kevin Guyton and Ray Wilkerson.
