In the Loving Arms of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ is to be found. Joe Lewis Vega, he was met in Our Heavenly Kingdom by his beloved Father Raymond Vega. On Friday February 11,2011 in Comfort Texas; Joe at the age of 43 was welcomed home in heaven, also preceding him in death are both Paternal Grandparents: Eusebio & Cruz Vega, and Maternal Grandmother: Concepcion Baeza. . He was born October 23, 1967 here in Odessa to Raymond & Manuela Sosa Vega. He united in marriage to Lupe Gomez January 16, 1988 here in Odessa and to this marriage were born 2 Beautiful Girls. He was a Christian Catholic and a hard working man; working in the hot shot business transporting oilfield products throughout the country. “PAW” as known to his family was a very Loving Husband, Father, Grandfather, Son, Brother and Grandson. He was always full of energy, a prankster and a jokester to everyone who knew him, there was not a stranger that he met, that was not welcomed in his life. He was an avid Outdoors man who enjoyed the hill country scene, especially when it came to hunting and fishing, but nothing beats the utmost of love, pride and joy of spending it with his grandson Jayvyn. He is survived by Wife Lupe Gomez Vega of Odessa, Daughters: Chelsea Vega & Kayla Vega, Grandson: Jayvan Staats; Mother: Manuela S. Vega all of Odessa, Brother: Michael Vega ( Velma) of Midland, Texas, Sister: JoAnn Vega of Odessa, Maternal Grandfather: Ramon Baeza of Hamet, California, Maternal Grandmother: Maria Felix Sosa of Odessa. And a host of Aunts,.Uncles, Cousins, Nieces, Nephews and Many Friends. We the Vega Gomez Family would like to take this time and express our utmost sincere gratitude to each and everyone of you for all your prayers, floral, food, offering and especially your presence with us during this most difficult time. May God Bless You All Abundantly. Pallbearers will be Martin Gomez, Moises Rodriguez, Joe Barrientos, Michael Vega, Michael Porras, Jose Ybarra, Chris Melendez & Ray Vega. A Rosary will be recited at 7pm Today Wednesday February 16, 2011, at Odessa Funeral Home. Mass will be celebrated at 10AM Thursday February 17,2011 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church with Reverend: Bernardito Getigan officiating. Interment to follow at Ector County Cemetery Los Angeles Section. Services by Odessa Funeral Home.
