Bertha Lorene Hansford

She was born on July 21, 1925 in Coleman TX to John Winfred Rinehart and Celia Low Rinehart. She married Aaron Augusta Parker on September 25, 1942 in Spur TX and they had two children, Carolyn Sue Parker Cary in 1943 and Anita Lou Parker Keele in 1945. The family moved to Odessa TX in 1960. Aaron Parker passed away in 1987. Lorene married Billy Joe Hansford in December 1988 and they moved to Bergheim TX in 1998.

Bertha, known as Lorene by family and friends, was very involved in her church and community. She was an Eastern Star and Realtor and was the owner of Parker Real Estate. She loved good food and socializing, enjoyed playing games, and had a wonderful smile that could light up a room. She loved vacationing with her family, fishing, and going on adventures.

Lorene is preceded in death by her parents John and Celia Rinehart, brother Luther Rinehart and sister Lucille Culberth, husband Aaron Parker and children Carolyn Sue Cary and Anita Keele. She is survived by her husband, Bill Hansford of Bergheim TX; brother Loyd Rinehart and wife Winona of Spur TX; sister Leona Smith and husband Bob of Odessa TX; son-in-law Kenneth Keele and wife Teresa of Rochester TX; grandsons Chad Cary and wife Peggy of San Antonio TX and Steve Cary and wife Jennifer of Cordell OK; granddaughters Tammy Boyd of Tennessee and Patricia Hausman and husband Lloyd of Bergheim TX; eight great grandchildren, and seven great great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephew.

A visitation will be held on Friday, June 23rd from 6:00-8:00pm at the Hubbard Kelly Funeral Home. The funeral services will be on Saturday, June 24th at 10:00am. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Vaughny Taylor will conduct the services. Pallbearers will be Steve Cary, Brady Constantine, Wayne Lomas, Terry Lomas, Wayne Parker and Rodney Parker.
