Anna Doris Miller was born on September 24, 1936 in Menard, Texas to William Darley and Valera (Davis) Miller. She passed from this life on December 7, 2013 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 77 years, 2 months & 13 days.
Doris had lived in Odessa, Texas for most of her life before recently moving to Oklahoma to be near family. She was a longtime school secretary for the Ector County Public Schools. She was an active member and longtime volunteer of the St. Luke’s United Methodist Church. She was also a member and volunteer for the Women’s Auxiliary at the Medical Center Hospital. When she had time for herself, she loved to play bridge.
She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of over 57 years, James Fenton Miller, whom she married on June 15, 1956 in Odessa, Texas as well as by 1 daughter; Jan Clark and husband Gary, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, 1 son; Brian Miller and wife Karen, of Charlotte, North Carolina, 4 grandchildren; Lindsey Miller of Charlotte, NC, Kelsey Schuster and husband Andy, of Charlotte, NC, Darren Clark and wife Kristyn, of Springdale, Arkansas & Brennan Clark and wife Kayla, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, 1 great-granddaughter; Kynadee Clark and several church family members and good friends.
Funeral service will be 11:00am Saturday, December 14, 2013 at St. Luke’s United Methodist Church of Odessa, TX with Rev. Brad Bennett officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to St. Luke’s United Methodist Church.
