Bill was born in Detroit Michigan on February 15, 1952, to Lorraine Hazel Neima and William Rankin Deagle. Shortly thereafter Lorraine and William moved with baby “Billy” to Dartmouth Nova Scotia where he spent his early childhood through teenage years.
After graduating High School in 1970 Bill attended Dalhousie University and earned his undergrad degree in Biology and Chemistry. In 1973 Bill was accepted at Dalhousie Medical School in Halifax, Nova Scotia and graduated with academic honors in 1977. Shortly thereafter he started his residency in Internal Medicine at the Vancouver General Hospital in British Columbia. He then decided to complete a second residency in Family Medicine at Calgary General Hospital in Alberta.
Dr. Deagle continued to thrive academically and professionally and opened his own successful practice in Calgary. It was in Calgary that Dr. Deagle met his loving wife Michelle nee Fiander and they had their first child, Matthew Justin in 1985.
In 1987 Dr. Deagle accepted a position at Augusta General Hospital in Georgia and their second son Stephen Richard was born. A year later they moved back “home” to Nova Scotia to be closer to family. Christopher Wayne was born in 1990 in Halifax and Kelsea Maria “The Dollie” was born three years later.
Dr. Deagle was deeply loved by his patients as he always genuinely cared for everyone regardless of their economic or social standing. He also was outstanding in the field of Family Medicine and was a member of the Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine among numerous other academies.
After retiring in 2006 he started NutriMedical and hosted a Radio Show, the NutriMedical Report. He reached thousands of patients (customers), and he helped them by bringing Medicine and Nutrition together through his line of supplements. Dr. Bill Deagle never forgot to thank and praise God during all his Radio Shows.
Dr Deagle continued to participate in medicine, attended educational meetings and counseled other physicians on Nutritional Supplement Protocols and stayed involved in the study of Nutraceuticals until his last days.
Most of all Dr. “Daddy Bi” Deagle loved his family dearly. His children were the absolute delight of his life and he was an amazing, loving, devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, and colleague and friend. He deeply touched the lives of so many people including his NutriMedical Family. He will truly be missed and will never, ever, be forgotten.
Dr. Deagle is survived by his three brothers, Kevin Deagle of St, Margarets Bay, Nova Scotia, Leon Deagle of Dartmouth Nova Scotia, Joseph Deagle of Lumberton, Texas, and his sister Trudy Fong of Dartmouth Nova Scotia. He was predeceased by his niece Anne Deagle. He is survived by his four children and three grandchildren, Kallen Deagle with Stephen and Kim Deagle, Matilda Deagle and Ari Jacob Borwein with Matthew Deagle.
