Matthew Roy Lloyd was born on April 26, 1975 In Germany to parents Donna and Ed Lloyd, and was welcomed by doting sister, Trish Windham. Grandparents Rex and Mary were pleased to have their first grandson to carry on the proud Lloyd name.
In 1977 the family returned to Oceanside, CA. Growing up, Matt enjoyed family trips to his Granpa Aden's ranch near Fresno, CA. Matt attended El Camino High School where he played football, and graduated in 1993.
In 2000 Matt connected with Michele Meyers. It was love at first sight and in 2005 the couple was married in big family celebration. Together they raised their three beautiful children, Troy, Savannah, and Abigail.
Matt will be remembered first and foremost for being a devoted and loving family man to his wife and children. He enjoyed reading, making music on his bass, and playing softball. In his free time, Matt and his family usually found themselves camping, whether at the beach watching the waves, or in the desert where they could enjoy off-roading.
Matt is survived by his wife Michele, children Troy, Savannah and Abigail, Parents Donna Lloyd and Ed (Joanne) Lloyd, Grandparents Rex and Mary, sisters Trish, Brigitte, Erin, Kelsey, step-siblings, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. A memorial for Matt will be held at 1pm on Thursday, November 20 at Eternal Hills Cemetary in Oceanside, CA.
