.In memory of John Blosch, who departed this world on February 27, 2024, leaving behind a legacy as a devoted father to four daughters and a husband who mastered the delicate art of coexisting with estrogen. John was a skilled electrician who illuminated the skylines of San Diego as a member of IBEW 569 for 43 years.
John Blosch is preceded in death by his beloved parents, Robert H. Blosch and Ruth Long, and brother, Michael Blosch, who undoubtedly welcomed him with open arms in the afterlife. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Sue, his brothers Robert Blosch and Daniel (Janice) Blosch, and his four daughters, Pamela (Kevin) Kennedy, Julia (Shane) Colson, Jodi (Eric) Whitford, and Kerri Blosch. John's spirit will also live on in the hearts of his four grandchildren, Thomas, Jamee, Preston and Evelyn, who were the apple of his eye in his later years.
As a father, John approached the challenges of raising four daughters with an endless supply of dad jokes and the wisdom only a father of girls could possess. Despite the countless giggles and girl power that surrounded him, John found solace in his trusty recliner with a cold beer in hand.
A local legend, John's roots in Carlsbad ran deep, and his friendships from childhood remained a cornerstone of his life. His legacy extends beyond family to a network of friends who share countless stories of mischief, adventure, and the enduring bonds formed over the years.
As we bid farewell to John, let's raise a glass in his honor, remembering a man who faced life's challenges with a smile, a cold beer, and an unwavering love for his family. May the fairways be endless, the beers forever cold, and the laughter of four daughters continue to echo in the Blosch family home.
A celebration of life will be held later this year. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating in John’s name to Hospice of North Coast (https://hospicenorthcoast.org/donate/donation-now/).
