Dolores Frances Reed

Dolores was born in Oakland, CA to Ralph John and Marie Agnes Ruckert on 19 January, 1927. She went to school there. While living there she met Robert Leroy Reed at the local skating rink. She married Robert on May 10th,1947 in Oakland. They lived in the San Francisco Bay area and Sacramento where she raised her eldest children. In 1973 they moved to Oxnard where she raised her youngest children.

Dolores worked as a telephone operator for over 20 years for AT&T and Pacific Bell. After retiring from the phone company she worked 19 years for Sav-on/Osco drugs, retiring in 2002. She was involved with Roman Catholic charities her entire life, donating time, crafts, and clothing. She spent most of her retired life supporting her various charities and traveling the world. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, especially Malcolm.

Dolores was preceded in death by her parents; father of her children Robert; siblings Ralph Jr., Rita, and Margaret; and son, Lyle Alphonse.

Dolores is survived by her daughters, Christine Lorien and Erin Marie; sons Robert Leroy Jr., Patrick Michael and Terrence Sean; grandchildren David, Lorien, Jamie, and Roblynn; and great grandchildren Kaileigh, Hayden, Aubree, Kadyn, Emma, Addyson, Madeline, William, and Malcolm.

Rosary will be held at 1:30 PM on Tuesday, 13 October, 2020 at Saint Margaret Church, 4300 Oceanside Blvd., Oceanside, CA.

Funeral services will be held at 2 PM on Tuesday, 13 October, 2020 at Saint Margaret Church with Father Wallace of Saint Margaret Parish, officiating.

Burial will take place at Clovis Cemetery District at 1 PM, on Friday, 16 October 2020.
