Died Friday March 25th 2022 in Encinitas, CA. Born in Riverside, CA to William and Dorothy McCord.
She lived in Oceanside over 50 years. She was active in the community teaching at South Oceanside Elementary for 25 years while raising three children. She was a certified water aerobics instructor, working with and helping many through her company, Aqua-Fit.
She is survived by her husband, Fred Matthews Sr., son, Fred Matthews Jr., Daughter, Patricia Matthews-Brier, Daughter, Dorothy Matthews, (10) Grandchildren and (5) Great Grandchildren.
Some of her hobbies include Jet Skiing, Windsurfing, and Swimming. As a matter of fact just about anything water related she was into from a young age. She also enjoyed crocheting and craft making beautiful gifts for her friends and family.
While she is gone from us physically, her love, passions and joy she shared with us all will live on with each of us.
