Alice M. Kober

She was born in Lynn, Massachusetts on January 11, 1927 to the late Everette and Alice Rowland (Sharbaugh).

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Bernard Kober; brother Marshall Rowland; sisters Margaret Deters (Madge); Marian Krueger.

Marilyn leaves behind her children; James Kober, (Carol); John Kober (Brenda); Mary Molina, and Anna Marie Miller (Mark); Grandchildren; Christopher Kober (Mary), Alex Molina (Jenny), Samantha and Austin Kober; her Great Grandchildren, Kenley Kober, Mia and Olivia Molina; her Brother Mark Rowland (Carol); Sisters Malvina Simon, and Madeline Powers (Greg); her brother-in-law James Krueger, and her many nieces and nephews.

A member of Saint Didacus Parish in San Diego for 60 years after relocating to California as an active duty naval military family.

A devoted navy wife Marilyn wrote many letters to her husband while he was aboard ship, out to sea.

Both Marilyn and Bernie belonged to a bowling league team with other military friends. Friday nights was the perfect time to bowl.

Marilyn enjoyed playing cards with the neighbors, playing her piano and reading books.

She worked as a city schools cafeteria worker parttime; to be home when her children came home from school.

She loved family, friends, and animals.

Most of all, Marilyn is known for her beautiful handwriting. A disappearing rare art of penmanship. It was a joy for her to always keep in touch with everyone, her family, friends, neighbors, near and far. Everyone will miss getting the lovely; thoughtful cards and letters with her beautiful signature writings; spreading love, happiness and God's faith.

Marilyn so loved the Lord.

A woman of deep faith who would read her prayer book daily. She would write down verses she came across she wanted to remember and share with others.

Marilyn is greatly loved and will be dearly missed by all.

May she hold the hand of the Lord and Rest in Peace.
