Joan was predeceased by her beloved husband, Leonard Cohen and her sons, David Cohen and Glenn Cohen. She is survived by her son, Todd Cohen and his wife, Lynda, Farmingdale, NJ and her grandchildren, Lauren Cohen, Parkland, FL; Brent Cohen and his wife, Gina, Montclair, NJ; Marissa Quigley and her husband, Frank, Freehold, NJ; Jared Cohen and his wife Sarah, Highland Park, IL; Dayna Hillel and her husband, Oren, Hewlett, NY; Ashley Cohen and Glenn Cohen, Palm Beach Gardens, FL. She is also survived by 8 great grandchildren: Mason, Leo, Sofia, Max, Aubrey, Levi, Noa and Raegan.
Joan was a beautiful, elegant and classy lady. She loved spending time with her family and spoiling her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Sint Maarten was a very special place to which she and Lenny delighted in bringing the family each year. Many happy memories there. It was important to her and Lenny to educate their grandchildren about culture with constant trips to museums, Broadway shows and cultural events. She was an amazing hostess and cook and her recipes delighted family and friends alike. She and Lenny loved to travel, counting Israel, Egypt, Russia, China and Italy among the many wonderful places they visited around the globe. She was an avid tennis fan, having played for many years and traveled to Wimbledon and the French Open and regularly attended the US Open.

Chapel services will commence at 11am on Wednesday November, 9th, 2022 at the Bloomfield-Cooper Jewish Chapels, 2130 Highway 35, Ocean Township, NJ. Interment will follow at Woodbine Cemetery, Oceanport, NJ. After the burial, they will be accepting family & friends at Eagle Oaks Golf & Country Club at 20 Shore Oaks Dr Farmingdale, NJ.
