Grace Rubin of Toms River, NJ passed away at home, of natural causes, on Friday Aug 20, 2021. Graveside funeral services will be held Tuesday Aug 24 at 10:30 am at Beth David Cemetery, 731 Boulevard, Kenilworth, NJ 07033. Born in Newark, NJ, she resided in Edison for 39 Years, and then retired to Lakewood and then Toms River, NJ.
Grace, a graduate of Arts High in Newark was a fantastic artist and enjoyed making paintings, jewelry, ceramics and handcrafts, and even turned her avocation into a career. She was also a portrait artist for many years. Cooking for her family was one of her true passions. Throughout her life Grace demonstrated a love for animals, by the many pets/rescues she had throughout her lifetime.
Grace was a member of Temple Beth El in Edison for many years.
Mrs. Rubin was married to her high school sweetheart, Ronnie, for 25 years. Ron passed away at a young age and Grace worked very diligently to raise a close-knit loving family.
Grace then spent 36 years living with her partner, Michael Neimeyer.
Surviving are her sister Phyllis Blowstein, her three loving children, Steven Rubin and his wife Amy, of Tinton Falls; Alissa Taffet and her husband Gregg, of Tinton Falls; and Cindy Rubin, of Ocean Township; 3 adoring grandchildren, Ryan (and his wife Tori), Erica, and Marci; and one great grandchild, Elliot.
