Susan J. Davis

Susan (Sue) J. Davis, 71 of Ocala, Florida passed away peacefully Sunday, November 11, 2018 at Estelle's House, Hospice of Marion County with her family by her side. She was born in Titusville, Pennsylvania to Mable and Robert Wagner and was one of nine children. At the age of eleven she became the foster daughter of Raymond and Ethel Bacher and lived with them until her marriage to John (Mike) Davis, July 15, 1967.

She was preceded in death by her birth parents and foster parents, three sisters and four brothers. She is survived by her husband of fifty one years John (Mike) Davis, one brother Larry Wagner, one sister Joyce Bacher Rozell (Bob) and one sister-in-law Debra Davis Day (George), nieces, nephews and great nephews. Sue worked for the School Board of Palm Beach County, Florida for thirty-four years. She was an avid golfer and played at Silver Springs Shores Country Club in Ocala and Lake Worth Golf Club in Palm Beach County, Florida. She enjoyed word puzzles, sudoku and loved to travel to Mazatlan, Sin., Mexico where her passion for painting ceramics was realized. Sue was involved in her Condominium Community as President of the ladies association, The Acorns. She also traveled to Europe several times with her husband and made a number of trips through out the United States and Canada in their motorhome. Arrangements have been entrusted to Forest Lawn Funeral Home of Ocala. Two celebrations of life will be held after the first of the year. The initial celebration of life will be held in Ocala, FL. and the second celebration of life will be held in Palm Springs, FL. Details will be noticed at a later date in the appropriate newspaper publications.
